Construction of the largest greenhouse complex has begun in the West Kazakhstan region, Khabar 24 reports. They plan to grow more than 7 thousand tons of vegetables a year. For comparison, all existing greenhouses in the region currently produce 800 tons of vegetables. The cost of the large-scale project is 14 billion tenge. Most of the funds will be sent through the AgroCredit Corporation at 8% per annum. The regional akimat also supported the project, allocating 17 hectares of land with all the infrastructure. Note that the site has a very convenient logistics location, both for the supply of raw materials and for providing the necessary infrastructure. Builders promise to hand over the greenhouse by December of this year. With its opening, 170 new jobs will be created. Cucumbers and tomatoes will be grown using a unique Dutch technology. Murat Ibragimov, entrepreneur: – hydroponics is water and substrates. The latest technologies will be applied here: such as shading, blurring, and additional lighting. The equipment is completely Dutch. At first, the seeds will also be from there. The region needs its own vegetables. Needs not only our region, but also the nearby Mangistau and Atyrau regions. A very good place for us is the proximity to the gas turbine station. We will take electricity from there. There is a gas main nearby – we take gas from there. 30 people will work during the construction. Kuanyshkali Yessimov, head of the Department Of agriculture of the WKO: – In our region there are 97 greenhouses with an area of 69 thousand square meters. Of these, about 400 tons are currently produced in 58 greenhouses. Currently, the construction of a greenhouse complex in the Zachagansk district on an area of 5.5 hectares is being completed. Our residents will be able to get 3 thousand fruits and vegetables. Along with this, another greenhouse is being built in the village of Novenkoe in the Baiterek district. Thus, our region will be provided with fresh vegetables in the off-season period.
