Kazakhstan’s vegetable growers have a new serious competitor: the domestic market with cheap products takes Turkmenistan without a fight. If investors in the South are not in a hurry to spend their millions on the construction of modern greenhouse complexes, then they will not be lured to the North at all. The costs are huge. There are no subsidies such as, for example, in dairy production. As a result, no modern year-round greenhouses have been built in the region.
