A farm for growing champignons will open in Kostanay

A farm for growing champignons is being prepared for opening in Kostanay region. Now there is an installation of equipment that businessmen were able to purchase at the expense of a state grant of 3 million tenge. In a month and a half, mushroom growers will remove the first crop — 3 tons of champignons, reports alau.kz

Sergey Yakovlev demonstrates a new oven for heating a mushroom farm, which, unfortunately, in the last two years did not work precisely because of the lack of heat in the winter.

“The main thing is that we will not depend on Central heating, which we received from the Central boiler house. It did not work in may, the steam was turned off, and in November it was launched. Only now we can work around the clock, ” says entrepreneur Sergey Yakovlev.

Sergey Yakovlev became a pioneer in growing champignons in the Kostanay region 20 years ago, but now retired and passed the mushroom business to his daughter. Now he only advises young businessmen — his daughter and son-in-law. Thanks to them, the farm got a new breath-Elizaveta Ualiakhmetova won a grant of 3 million tenge for the modernization of equipment that is already being successfully installed. In addition to the boiler for heating, they purchased special air conditioners and changed the ventilation system.

“If you don’t blow for a long time, old air can accumulate in the chamber. You need to remove it, add fresh air, adjust it so that it reaches 1200. We bought an air conditioner, it goes all down the pipe, ” continues Sergey Yakovlev.

For the Kostanay region and, in principle, for Kazakhstan, mushroom farming is generally an unusual industry. In Soviet times, too, much attention was not paid to it. The industry received a boost only in the years of independence, but in our region, industrial mushroom farming is not currently engaged. The organizers of the farm for growing champignons hope that they will be able to find their customers among Kostanay residents. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of a kilogram of mushrooms on the farm will be 1100 tenge.

“The cost price depends on the market, we bring mushrooms from Poland, there are a lot of farms, high technologies. After collection, they are treated with a special composition so that they do not dry out much, we do not have this,” says Sergey Yakovlev.

In mid-October, the first bookmark will be made here, and in a month the first mushrooms are expected to appear. Mushroom growers while engaged in the repair of the premises and the search of partners. After all, if at the beginning of their business they can produce up to 3 tons of mushrooms per month, then if necessary, they will increase the volume to 10 tons.
